Hello. Nice to meet you. Such a nice day today. Here, let me get that door for you. So good to meet someone nice for a change. Would you like to get a drink with me this weekend? Sure. How about 30? Hello. Hello. I really like you. Would you like to see me naked? No thanks. I’ll just check out Insta. If you don’t want me I’ll fuck your fucking friends. That’s nice. I’m sure they’ll understand. Hello. Hello. I really hate you. You make me fucking sick. I despise you. You total piece of shit. I never want to see your face again. In fact I’d like to see you fucking dead. Hello. Hello. Hello. I'd like to introduce you to... Um... What's your name again? Hello.

about

"Hello" was written and recorded on September 1st, 2020. Originally created with Apple loops to test the new Magic Death Eye stereo compressor plugin.

A sample of bar noise was added for texture, which inspired the rest of the song. Lyrics and vocals were added after just two takes on the Telefunken TF51 condenser mic, while the Eventide H910 provided the pitch shifting and processing needed to add the "female" vocals.

Due to constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, "Hello" was mixed and mastered in the same room that it was written. This was a painstakingly difficult process that resulted in over 120 different mixes across two different systems before finally settling on the version you hear now.

All in all this was a complete fucking nightmare.
